ACCREDITATION
CE marking
The new European standard for the CE Marking of structural steelwork. Since 1st July 2014, it has become a legal requirement to CE Mark all structural steelwork. In order to be able to CE Mark their steelwork, contractors have to implement a certified Factory Production Control (FPC) system. Duggan Steel have been certified to Execution Class 4 standard for for Factory Production Control to EN 1090-2 and are now fully accredited.
ISO 9001:2008
The international standard awarded to companies that have proven the operation of effective quality management systems. Duggan Steel has been awarded this standard by NSAI (National Standards Authority of Ireland) in Dec 2009 for the following scope: "The fabrication and erection of structural steel including connection design, and the installation of metal decking, wall cladding and roofing systems."
Safe-T-Cert
An occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system specification which has been specifically developed for the varied and diverse needs of construction contractor companies. It sets out best practice implementation procedures for the management of on site Health and Safety and its award is a sign of investment in and commitment to successful health and safety management.
BCSA
The lead organisation for the steel construction industry: its Member companies undertake the design, fabrication and erection of steelwork. The main aim of the Association is to promote the use of structural steelwork; to assist specifiers and clients; to ensure that the capabilities and activities of the industry are widely understood and to provide members with professional services in technical, commercial, contractual, quality assurance and health & safety matters.
